周华健 or Emil Chau or Wakin Chau has released more than 40 albums and held several international concert tours. I attended a few of his concerts over the years and it is always fun events as you can say to almost all of his songs, such is the popularity of his songs.
However, unlike some superstars of today who has a smooth career, Emil did not started his career easily. He tried to start as a singer and his first ever album, 最后圆舞曲, was in 1985 but was not successful.

Then, he turned to working as an assistant producer at Rock Records. A while later, Emil then also started to sing some jingles for advertising spots. One of these tunes was for a car commercial, and it happened to catch the attention of Emil’s boss at Rock’s Record.
In Jul 1987, he released the album, 心的方向 but the key was in 1988 when his super hit album, 我是真的付出我的爱, was released. From that moment on, his albums sold like hot cakes and his songs are usually chart-topping ones.
I am happy for him. Will share more album art of his in the future too. But here is his first two successful albums.
