Between People (人与人之间) represents a landmark chapter in the career of Hong Kong Cantopop singer Andy Hui 许志安, serving as both his major comeback single in 2022 and the title of his physical Cantonese album released in October 2026 under Universal Music Hong Kong.
🎵 许志安 人与人之间 The Hit Single: “Between People” (2022)
- Release Date: September 30, 2022
- Creative Team: Composed and produced by Eric Kwok, with lyrics penned by Riley Lam (林若寧).
- The Concept: Crafted like a continuous “long-take film,” the song observes human existence from a detached, calm perspective. The lyrics map out the entire trajectory of a human life—starting from a sleeping embryo in the womb, moving through schooling, falling in love, building a family, growing old, and finally facing death. In just over 3 minutes, it explores the bonds, sudden departures, and fleeting nature of relationships.
💿 许志安 人与人之间 The Studio Album: Between People (2026)
Marking his full return to the music scene, Universal Music officially released the physical CD album on October 7–8, 2026. The record compiles his well-received radio plug singles since his return, alongside brand-new tracks and special live performance recordings:
| Track # | Song Title | Core Details & Concept |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Between People (人與人之間) | The 2022 hit single that anchors the theme of the album. |
| 2 | Between Songs (歌與歌之間) | New Track (2026). Composed by Yip Chung Yin. A nostalgic tribute to the relationship between pop music and its listeners, reflecting on how records shift from “hits” to “antiques,” yet the comfort they bring stays forever. |
| 3 | Reconcile with Myself (與自己和解) | A deeply introspective and popular radio single dealing with self-acceptance. |
| 4 | Worthwhile (不枉) | A track celebrating resilience and finding value in past hardships. |
| 5 | Everyone’s Inspirational Song(每個人的勵志歌) | New Track (2026). Composed by Vincent Chow. An encouraging anthem reminding people that life’s scars eventually become armor. |
| 6 – 13 | ONGOING Live 2023 | 8 bonus live recordings capturing Andy’s classic hits (e.g., 1000 Sunsets, Starry Feeling, Telepathy, Finding Pleasure in Sorrow). |
