LOVE WEI BACK Vol.2 is a Mandopop EP by Taiwanese singer-songwriter WeiBird (William Wei), released on March 10, 2026.

Following the 80s-inspired Vol.1, this second installment in his “Love Way Back” series shifts its aesthetic focus to the 1990s, specifically drawing inspiration from classic Hong Kong pop culture and the “Golden Age” of Cantopop.

Key Features

Tracklist: The EP consists of three main songs, plus a hidden “Easter egg” track:
1. “Why You Always Love Wrong” (爲什麼你總愛上不該愛的人): A City Pop-influenced track exploring urban loneliness.
2. “Locked in Love” (反鎖): A ballad featuring lyrics by Ho Kai-hung (the lyricist for Jacky Cheung’s “Goodbye Kiss”), designed to evoke the classic 90s ballad style.
3. “Day by Day” (一天一天): A 90s R&B-style track written as a tribute to David Tao and inspired by the long-distance relationship of WeiBird’s parents.
Visual Series: Accompanying the EP is a “musical short poem collection” titled “Mongkok Rhapsody” (旺角戀曲). Directed by Yin Chen-hao, the videos were shot in Hong Kong and Macau and star Will Or and Ma Shi-yuan, with WeiBird appearing as a fish ball stall vendor named “An-zai”.
Production: Produced in collaboration with Hong Kong producers Derrick Sepnio and Fergus Chow to ensure an authentic “Hong Kong flavor
