Wo Gan (我敢, which translates to “I Dare” or “I Dare To”) is an album by Hong Kong singer Karen Tong (汤宝如), released in November 1996. It was her seventh studio album and followed the commercial success of her earlier 1996 releases, particularly the hit song and album Gan Mao (感冒, “Common Cold”).

• Producers: The album was produced by the returning duo of Gary Chan (谭国政) and Mark Lui (雷颂德), who had also worked on her successful previous album Shou Fang Zi Ru (收放自如).
• Promotion: The record company heavily promoted Wo Gan, running promotional advertisements on TVB during prime time for five consecutive days, an unusual move at the time.
• Theme: The promotional tagline for the album was “After a cold, entangled by love again”. 

Key Tracks

The album included several new songs and five selected old hits, totaling 15 tracks. The main singles were: 

• “Jiu Chan” (纠缠, “Entanglement”): This was the first lead single, created by the same team (composer Robert Seng and producer) behind her massive hit “Gan Mao”.
• “Wo Gan” (我敢, “I Dare”): The album’s title track and second single.
• “Xi Xue” (细雪, “Light Snow”): The third single, noted for its Japanese minor key style and use of classical Chinese poetry-like lyrics.
