黎瑞恩我知道你在说再见

I Know You Are Saying Goodbye (我知道你在说再见) is the tenth studio album by Hong Kong singer Vivian Lai (黎瑞恩). Released on August 1, 1996, it marks the second and final Mandarin-language album of her music career.

Production and Achievements

Creative Team: The title track was composed by veteran producer Eric Chen (陈子鸿), with lyrics written by the famous lyricist Daryl Yao (姚若龙), and arranged by Tu Ying (屠颖). The song captures the bittersweet pain of realizing a partner is about to end a relationship.
Market Context: At the time of its release, Vivian Lai was preparing to leave PolyGram Records. As a result, the label focused its promotion mostly within Hong Kong rather than massive campaigns in Taiwan, which was the primary Mandarin music market.
Commercial Success: Despite lower promotional efforts compared to her first Mandarin album (Secret/ 秘密), this record still became the best-selling Mandarin album of the year in Hong Kong. The title track also achieved rare success by becoming one of the very few Mandarin songs to enter Hong Kong’s year-end “Top 10” hit charts during that era.
